After the cemetery, I drove up to Sault Ste. Marie to see if any lakers were going through the locks. No lakers at the time, so I wondered about the grounds and came upon an anchor monumented in the park area within the tourist grounds. All black with rivets and a sheen even in the cloudy fall daylight. I took a few pictures and noticed the patterns and textures and composition of the underside of the anchor. The iron almost seemed to be stretching and the soft lighting was beautiful. I softened the tones and sharpness to accentuate the mood and abstraction.
