An old and small train engine, possibly a switch engine, sits in the tall grass and wild flowers on a track at the Clinton (Michigan) train station. Freshly painted a baby blue, some rusty areas have started eating through the paint. The doors that cover the engine compartment are unlocked so I opened one to see the inner workings. Lots of valves, tubes, and connections like these with rust and patinas from age made for fun photo shooting with the macro lens. I like the geometry and symmetry crossed by the angling tubes.
